= Distinguish between Visual and performing art.
= Outline the importance of art.

WEEK 3.                       TOPIC:IMPORTANCE OF ART

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Learners should be able:
• Outline the importance of art.

WEEK 4.                  TOPIC: ELEMENT OF ART

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:By the end of the lesson, Learners should be able:
= Comprehend the meaning of the element of art.
= Using a diagram describe the seven element of art.

= Discuss the principles of art.

WEEK 5:6                 TOPIC: LINES

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Learners should be able:
• Figure out the meaning of lines.
• Using a diagram describe the six categories of lines.
• Explain the uses of lines in their own words.

• Create different patterns with lines

WEEK 8:9                TOPIC:SHAPES

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Learners should be able:
• know the meaning of shape.
• Draw and label shapes.
• Explain the uses of shapes in their own words.
• Distinguish between geometric and organic shape.
• Create different patterns with shapes

WEEK 10.                   TOPIC: COLOURS

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Learners will be able to:
• Memorize the colour theory.
• Explain how secondary and tertiary colours are created.
• Create different shades and tint.

• Create different types of texture.
• Distinguish between real and implied texture.
• Explore the importance of texture in drawing and printing

WEEK 2:                                                  DRAWING

• Identify different types of drawing.
• Have a knowledge of the steps to follow in drawing.                                                      

WEEK 3/4:                                                  SPACE; MEANING, TYPES IMPORTANCE

   LEARNING OBJECTIVES:                           Learners should be able to:

• Explain the meaning of space in creative art.
• Describe the types of space in an art work.
• Draw an abject showing the different spaces in it.

WEEK 5/6:                                                  BLOCK PAINTING

   LEARNING OBJECTIVES:           Learners should be able to:

To explore and create colourful art designs on various surfaces

• To discuss common materials that can be used for making block paintings
• To explore and discuss the process of making such paintings
• To explore, stimulate and develop their creative minds

WEEK 8:                                                  SEWING

• Explore and explain the concept of sewing and stitches
• Confidently make stitches using thread and plastic needles
• Create dusters for a public school.
